Wang Hongxia attended 2010 National Aluminum-plate-strip-foil Technical Seminar

China Aluminium Network reported that on September 13, 2010, National Aluminum Plate-Strip-Foil Technical Seminar was held in Suzhou. Mrs Wang Hongxia, vice president of China Aluminum Network attended this meeting.

In order to promote the technical exchange of aluminum-plate-strip-foil and more healthier development of aluminum-plate-strip-foil industry, light metal branch of China Nonferrous Metal Processing Industry Association held ‘2010 National Aluminum-Plate-Strip-Foil Technical Seminar’ in Suzhou. The meeting provided a platform for aluminum-plate-strip-foil manufacturers to exchange opinions and cooperate, which enabled them to grasp the development dynamics of aluminum-plate-strip-foil industry, discuss the producing and management technology for aluminum plates, strip and foil.

Ma Shiguang, Deputy Chairman and Secretary of China Nonferrous Metal Processing Association, Su Kanxiang, Vice Present of Northeast Light Alloy Co., Ltd, Wang Ge, Secretary of Light Metal Branch, Vice Secretary—Wu Honglin, Wang Zhutang, Qiu Haibin, Jin Wuliang, Vice Presedent of China Aluminum Network, Wang Hongxia and other leaders presented the seminar. About a hundred delegates from Shanghai Nonferrous Metal Industry Association, Wuhan Aluminum Industry Association, Tito Enterprise CO., Ltd, Luoyang Shoulong Aluminum Industry Co.,Ltd and other companies. Secretary of Light Metal Branch—Wang Ge presided on the seminar.

Firstly Ma Shiguang delivered the opening speech. He said "since the policy of opening-up and reform, China's aluminum-plate-strip-foil industry has achieved glorious accomplishment, especially the recent ten years, a lot of large aluminum-plate-strip-foil processing enterprises have been completed, under construction or proposed. Today most industry leaders gathered here. We carefully exchange and discuss keenly the sustainable development of aluminum-plate-strip-foil industry."

On the meeting, Wang Zhutang pointed out “Relatively China is in short of energy and aluminum resources and should be the net importer of primary aluminum ingot, secondary aluminum alloy ingot and aluminum scrap. China is a net importer of aluminum scrap. The net import in 2008 reached 2150kt. If added the aluminum scrap acquired from dismantling of scrap equipment, the net import in fact reached 2650kt. Moreover, Mr. Wang talked about the applications of caster--copper roller. Qiu Haibin delivered a speech named 'Aluminum processing industry under financial crisis' and Jin Wuliang delivered a speech named 'An analysis of two-kind alloy producing double-zero aluminum foil'.

In the same period the assembly held the editorial board work session of  'Light alloy processing technology.'
