Recently, Southwest Aluminum completed the delivery of a high-end alloy plate for 4-meter ultra-wide aerospace. It is reported that this product is the key material for the low-temperature fuel storage tank of new aerospace vehicles, and its product specification and width-to-thickness ratio have reached Z among the aluminum alloy thick plates that can be produced in China at present. Since the product specifications have reached the rolling thickness and width limits of the 4300mm rolling mill, and the thermoplastic temperature range of this high-end alloy is narrower than that of conventional aluminum alloys, the rolling production is extremely difficult.
In order to ensure stable output, the project team of Southwest Aluminum, under the organization of the party branch of the technical center, carefully summarized and analyzed the process control and the related situation of product flatness and out-of-tolerance waste products in the production process of 4-meter boards in 2021, and conducted in-depth investigations many times. On-site exchanges with the supervisor technician of the rolling plant and the main operator of the 4300mm rolling mill, carefully summarizing the process control parameters of each batch of plates, continuously improving the process plan, and carefully organizing related production.
During the production process of this product this year, the technical personnel of the project team went deep into the site to follow up the production, recorded the rolling process parameters of each sheet in detail, and communicated with the main rolling operator in time according to the shape and thickness difference of the rolled sheet and the thickness difference control of the same sheet. Personnel discussed, constantly revised the rolling process of each pass, and continuously improved the pass rate of process quality, ensuring that the delivery of this key product contract was completed on schedule.
