Michael Ansah, chief executive of the Ghana Integrated Aluminum Development Corporation (GIADEC), said the company is working with various stakeholders to increase the Ghana Bauxite Company's (GBC) production capacity from 1 million tons per year to 2 million tons per year.
He said that GIADEC is working with the Ghanaian government and its new partner OforiPoku Company Limited (OPCL) to maintain the stable operation of the existing business in the Awaso region.
