Hebei province Aluminium Alloy Producers to Suspend Production Till Oct 3

SMM reported that some aluminium alloy producers in Hebei province have been required to cut or suspend production from September 24 to October 3, in anticipation of heavy air pollution to hit the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and surrounding areas. Most part of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the whole Henan, large part of Shandong and the northern part of Jiangsu and Anhui are expected to feel the impact.

The Henan province activated an orange smog-alert at CST 12:00 September 24, while Henan’s Jiaozuo city issued an alert of a higher, red level at CST 12:00 September 23 and plans to remove the alert at CST 24:00 October 2.
